Orphaned Works Act

Well Scott got my butt in gear to do this (i've been busy with finals) and I want to get it out to all the people that visit here. Yes, there is a scare about an Orphaned Works Act, and no matter how much it might seem like a helping hand to some, it truly is not. Not just ART, but songs, stories, books, photographs even of your family are at danger for being profited from. It basically makes art theft LEGAL. I know there are lots of furs/artists/writers who may visit this page too. Your fursonas, characters, stories, poems EVERYTHING are up for free grabs by a random person who cannot find proof of your work or whom wants to erase the signature on it. Orphaned Works means if they cannot find the owner. Which means someone MIGHT not do that research, and people CAN, with enough effort erase your signature. So please do not let this pass! Write to your senators, the white house, anywhere where you can get your word in! Sign petitions! Rant about it! 

From my view, it is a bill. And all bills must be passed through one stage of voting by the people. And if we get the word out on what this is, we can help protect this. And this also goes for all different kinds of artists, not just the visual ones. 

Art theft makes me literally sick as it is. This probably will not pass if everyone is informed. So i'm just doing my part getting to the ears which have not heard yet. I suggest everyone else does the same. Or gets their view out. Either way, it's us loosing our right to copyright by not registering. We have little money as it is as art students and artists, why take from the poor? It's kindofa backwards Robin Hood syndrome going on here with the government.

Sketchbook stuff 2

The bear up there is my new polar bear character, Boss. It's a fitting name because he's such a big fella and he'd probably be like a "boss" from a video game because of his size.

The others are facial expression studies from the Facial Expression book and studies from life and watching hip hop/melbourne shuffling/any vids of people on youtube are great figure studies.

These I also will show in reviews. And i'm going to color Boss.

Sketchbook stuffs (oldish beginning of semester)

I'm thinking of putting these things on a collage kind of way and printing them out for review. I have more but those I'm more protective of. If you are friends with me on LiveJournal, you can see them. I'm windancer_ifus on there.

Update

So I shall be scanning in my sketchbook soon and putting pics up here of figures and face studies and whatnot just so you can see how much i've grown this semester. I gotta get stuff ready too for reviews. Oh man, its more work than I thought! But it's gonna be worth it in the end to get stuff done right.

I will get my email back today. I'm predicting so since i've had complications getting the password reset message sent to my school email, so I have another hotmail account it's being sent to. Me and Stephanie (Rhia) pretty much have a hunch who has done it, and the longer they are ignoring us confronting them, the more they are making it obvious it was them. It's a shame really, they were really a good friend to us in the past and it's a shame to have evidence that this person did what they have done.

Other than that, summer projects I have planned are:

-Collie/animal hats
-Prints to sell at the Collie Picnic to help afford their mascot I am going to make them.
-Starbar fursuit fullsuit
-Painting my Aunt Linda's house

And I just have been commissioned to do sketches for a children's fairytale book from my eye doctor. I'm really excited about this and I am meeting with her this Sunday. This will hopefully get my funds up for my costume making and get me more exposure. (:

Apologies

Apologies everyone. Someone hacked my email (shadyhorses@hotmail.com) Tuesday around 7-8 pm. If anyone has recieved no answer from me or strange emails, please know this is not me, but a hacker. I've tried getting it back and i'm praying and crossing my fingers for everything to be ok. I really do not know why someone would hack my email, and they have hacked my oekakiart.com account and my oekaki and my friend Stephanie's oekaki site (this one was trashed with derogatory language against furries and spammed viciously). This email honestly is my life, my freelance job, and my personal life as well, I use it to make whatever living I can. I've had it for 5 years and i'm not giving it up to an immature person who thinks its funny to do this when I have done nothing to them. I honestly never do anything malicious or harmful to any other human being, and I wish this person would come clean and work this problem out with me face to face and get this problem solved and over with; instead of playing these childish games. I have a life to live and I do not want anything to do with someone's petty internet drama. I honestly and truely will let everything go if I am messaged privately and anonymously my password or have my things set back to the way they were with their original passwords and secret questions and given the go. If not, I will continue to search for evidence, and if I do find evidence to someone who has done this, I will call the police because hacking is a felony and it's a breech into identity theft. The truth always seems to surface eventually so hopefully I will either get my evidence or my email back soon. Either way, I trust that everything will be eventually ok. Again i'm sorry for any inconvience and if you are waiting for a tail to come in the mail, I have them all sent out except MoonMochi's because I have just bought the silver wig and the fur is at my house. I should have everything sent by next week. Thanks for being patient, everyone. <3

After lots of stress and ups and downs, i'm back updating. I've had just a hell-riden month concerning problems from many areas of my life. These things are being fixed though and my friends and my art are keepin me alive. (:

There's another tiger tail but I gotta get the pics for that off of my facebook. XD It's 4:30 am and i'm dead.
